PepsiCo UK is entering a four-year partnership with Natasha’s Foundation to help drive greater awareness, education and meaningful progress on food allergy.

PepsiCo UK has announced a new four-year partnership with Natasha’s Foundation, supporting the charity’s work to address food allergy through awareness, education and medical research.

The Foundation was established by Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse OBEs who tragically lost their daughter, Natasha, to food allergy when she was just 15 years old. Natasha died from anaphylaxis - a severe allergic reaction – after eating sesame seeds that were baked into the dough of a baguette. Her story brought national attention to the risks faced by people living with food allergies and continues to highlight the shared responsibility we all have across the food industry.

Food safety is central to how PepsiCo operates, with high standards in allergen management and control across its operations, alongside clear and transparent product labelling.

Between now and 2030, PepsiCo UK will provide funding to support the Foundation’s work in food allergy awareness, research and education, as well as training and support for its 4,500+ UK employees.

The partnership reflects a shared ambition to help create a future where everyone can enjoy food with confidence.

Jason Richards, General Manager, PepsiCo UK & Ireland, said:

“Natasha’s story is one that many people will know, and it’s impossible not to be moved by it. It highlights the very real risks faced by people living with food allergies and the responsibility we all share as part of the food industry.

This partnership gives us an opportunity to share knowledge and build awareness across our teams. We’re pleased to support the important work of the Natasha’s Foundation over the next four years, while continuing to strengthen our approach to food safety and helping ensure this remains a priority across the industry.”

Nadim and Tanya Ednan-Laperouse OBEs and Founders of Natasha’s Foundation, said:
“We are delighted that PepsiCo UK is supporting Natasha’s Foundation as a new corporate partner for the next four years.

Through campaigning, education and research, the Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of the millions of people in the UK with food allergy, and ultimately create a future without food allergy.

The unprecedented rise in allergic disease over the last 30 years means there has never been a more important time to understand what is fuelling the global allergy epidemic. In the UK alone, around 3 million people are living with a food allergy, including 1 in 13 school children.

Thank you, PepsiCo UK, for standing with us and supporting our mission to create a future without food allergy.”
