Together with FareShare, our employability programme has helped over 400 people in Leicester since 2025.

A FareShare employability programme, funded by a grant from The PepsiCo Foundation, has now reached over 400 people in Leicester with free employability skills training.

Through group workshops, one‑to‑one mentoring and tailored coaching, the programme is enabling participants to gain the skills and opportunities they need to move closer to employment. Leicester is the home to our Walkers Crisps factory and the employability programme has run in the nearby community of Highfields.

This latest film brings the impact of the programme to life, capturing how the partnership is making a difference for individuals across Leicester.

We’ve worked together with FareShare to tackle food waste since December 2017 and the employability programme was part of an expansion of the partnership announced in 2025. The grant has also seen funding go towards the charity’s Surplus with Purpose scheme enabling farmers and suppliers to redirect good‑to‑eat surplus food to FareShare - ensuring high‑quality products reach the people and places that need them most.
