Within our UK business we have a range of roles across functions from Manufacturing and Engineering roles in our busy factories to Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, R&D and IT positions. Each role brings its own unique benefits and comprehensive training and development opportunities.

We’re committed to achieving gender equality and increasing female representation in our workforce. We have set ourselves the target of having gender parity in all management roles by 2025.

Conversations around gender are driven by people from all levels of the business from our Leadership team who are striving to hit our 2025 target to our employee-owned group, Women at PepsiCo. The group aims to drive gender equality and empower colleagues by using real life tactics and tips.

We also have a number of recruiting and development initiatives in place including our female leadership programme, Strategies for Success, which focuses on helping female middle-managers reach their senior management potential.

Our work in this area has been recognised externally and we’ve been named a Times Top 50 Employer for Women for 15 consecutive years.

We're committed to building a workforce that represents people from all walks of life and help build a fairer society by giving equal opportunity to everyone. 

We are passionate about developing our people at all levels of our business. We do this through regular training and career development tools designed to help them achieve their goals while contributing to the business. Our courses develop leaders at multiple levels of the organisation from first-time managers to senior executives.

We ensure that everyone across the business has regular check-ins with their managers about their career progression. We also have the PepsiCo University which offers online courses for all of our employees allowing them to up-skill at the touch of a button. 

Our commitment in this area has led to us being recognised as a Top Employer nine years in a row.

It’s not just the skills of our current employees that we’re committed to developing, we’re also helping the next generation of workers develop the skills they need to create a bright future.

To help bridge the gap in STEM talent our network of over 100 STEM ambassadors deliver workshops to young people local to our UK sites and lead a number of initiatives from attending events and seminars to offering students industry placements.

In 2017 we embraced the Apprenticeship Levy as an opportunity to advance and standardise the training we offer front line employees by creating the Grow Our Own programme.

Over 300 apprentices later and we’ve never looked back! Creating our own apprenticeship programme increased our talent pipeline, improved the skills and capabilities of our workforce and has given our recruits an industry recognised qualification.

Our scheme is open to people of all ages, not just school leavers, and is designed to be the first step on a career in Food Manufacturing. The course is a mixture of on-the-job training and classroom learning, all completed under the careful supervision of our accredited training provider and will provide colleagues with a Level 2 Diploma in Food and Drink Manufacturing.
