Change4Life
Change4Life is a social movement designed to help people eat well and lead healthier lifestyles.
What is Change4Life?
Change4Life is a Government led social movement launched in January 2009 that aims to help us all, but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer. Change4Life brings together government, community groups, health workers, teachers and businesses in order to deliver positive results through campaigns that are cost effective and well informed.
...And Play4Life?
Play4Life is one of the initiatives from Change4Life that is used to mobilise action in targeted areas of the wider Change4Life campaign. Play4Life focuses on physical inactivity amongst children. It aims to both encourage children to play more and to encourage their parents
to help them.
How are PepsiCo involved?
We are a commercial partner of the Change4Life campaign and are committed to supporting Change4Life in order to tackle obesity.
This commitment to Change4Life takes various forms. In 2009 we developed an unbranded advertising campaign under the Play4Life initiative which focused on the message "Active Parents Make Active Kids". The campaign aimed to encourage parents to take their children out to play more and featured two of our international football stars, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard. The print campaign ran from October to December 2009.
PepsiCo is also a member of Business4Life, a coalition of companies representing the food and drink, retail, media, advertising, fitness and health industries, which are partnering with Government to support its Change4Life campaign.
