Our innovation journey

We have made significant improvements to the nutritional profile of our products since 2003.

Saturated Fat

  • In our core products, the saturated fat content has been reduced from 5.6g per serve in 2003 to 0.9g per serve in 2007
  • In our Doritos range, the saturated fat content has been reduced from 5.1g per serve in 2003 to 1.2g per serve in 2007
  • In our snack products, the saturated fat content has been reduced from 1.7g - 2.5g per serve to 0.3g - 0.5g per serve in 2007
  • This means that between 2005 and 2007, we have reduced the level of saturates in our products by up to 80% and thereby removed over 20,000 tonnes of saturated fat from the British diet.

Salt

  • Since 2003, we have transformed 80% of our portfolio by reducing sodium in our products by a minimum of 25%
  • This means that between 2005 and 2007, we have removed more than 1,400 tonnes of salt from the British Diet
