Snacking has become a normal part of our daily diet and can make a valuable contribution to nutrient intakes, can help with weight control and can help to manage cholesterol and blood sugar levels.The more active you are, the greater your energy needs and so snacking can help to fulfill these requirements. Snacking can also help children and young people get enough energy into their daily diet, as they may not be able to eat sufficient at meal times during growth spurts.
