The United States of America's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced PepsiCo Inc as a 2008 'Water Efficiency Leader'. PepsiCo was recognised for its "cumulative and on-going accomplishments across many of its brand names", resulting in it being on target to achieve its goal of reducing water consumption per unit of production by 20 percent by 2015.
The EPA commended PepsiCo on its approach to reducing water use, which it stated showed a company-wide commitment to achieving its 2015 target.
