Marie Curie is a charity that specialises in providing care for patients affected by cancer and other terminal illnesses.

The hospices first began receiving the deliveries in December 2009. A spokesperson for the charity commented: "The deliveries of Quaker Oats and Tropicana juices have proved hugely popular with our patients. We're grateful to PepsiCo for donating breakfast items to our nine Marie Curie hospices which care for patients with cancer and other illnesses and provide support for families and carers."

The deliveries include Tropicana orange juice and a variety of different types of Quaker Oats - such as Original and various Oatso Simple flavours. In December around 10,000 servings of Quaker oat products were delivered, together with almost 1,500 individual bottles of orange juice. We will continue delivering these amounts on a monthly basis going forward.

Marie Curie Cancer Care was established in 1948 and is one of the UK's largest charities. Over 2,700 doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals are employed with the aim of providing care to over 25,000 terminally ill patients. Marie Cure provides care for its patients free of charge.

The charity mainly provides services for those affected by cancer but also cares for people with other life limiting diseases. Marie Curie runs nine hospices across the UK as well as two centres for palliative care research. The charity also runs the world-renowned Marie Curie Research Institute.
