The views of employees are at the heart of the Best Workplaces Programme. They are directly surveyed by the Programme, and it is their opinions that ultimately determine the strength of an employer's entry.

The publication has been studying workplace and people management practices in the UK for five years. A number of unique insights were gained from this year's study.

  • Europe's Best Workplaces grew their revenues by 15% on average, in the midst of the recession
  • Sickness absence in the UK's Best Workplaces was 30% lower than the national average, saving those organisations £20,760 per 100 employees per year
  • Almost 90% of employees in the UK's Best Workplaces believe that management is open and honest in their organisation, against the national average of 55%.

Richard Evans, President of PepsiCo UK & Ireland comments:

"PepsiCo UK & Ireland operates in a highly competitive global marketplace and we are committed to making a difference. We know that our success depends on nurturing and embracing the diverse skills and perspectives our people bring to this organisation."

This is the first time PepsiCo UK has entered the Best Workplaces Programme but it follows excellent workplace rankings for PepsiCo in France and Italy.

In the UK, PepsiCo was recognised for our 'Performance with Purpose' values - our efforts to tackle the impact of our business on the environment, support our customers and engage our staff.
