Building on last year’s winning formula, our PepsiCo Go Trendsetter challenge has been even bigger and better in 2018. As part of the challenge, we tasked students with identifying the next big food or drink trend and explaining how we could harness it.

Over a three-month period, we selected the strongest candidates and provided each of them with an Insights and Digital mentor to help develop their idea.

Thirty finalists were invited to our UK headquarters in Reading to present their proposals. We had so many fantastic entries and were bowled over by the talent, resulting in us offering 19 participants places on our graduate programmes across the UK, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia, Greece, Serbia and Romania.

Congratulations to this year’s winners:  

  • Jack Kelly whose ‘Gatorade Transcend’ idea focused on reducing plastics.  
  • Elisabeth Atoyabi who proposed ‘Pro Bake’, a guilt-free cookie.
  • Sandrine Conrath who came up with ‘Detox Me’, an iced matcha tea line with natural detoxifying properties.


By running this annual challenge, we hope to attract innovators of the future into our Insights and Digital teams, strengthening our talent base and helping the future generation kick-start their career.
